Anyone going out tonight?

Supposedly one of the biggest drinking days of the year.

My friend's b-day is the 29th, and she likes to go out day before TG every year to celebrate.  So we're meeting at Fat Head's and going from there.

I went last year and I was surprised by how quiet the South Side was - maybe because the college kids have all gone home.

We usually go do something. Sinc we've moved into this apartment we end up at the same bar. It's a pretty good time. i want to go out cause we didn't do much at all this past weekend.

We haven't gone out in the past few years.

FI was supposed to take me to dinner tonight (for our 4 year anniversary - the last dating one we'll celebrate), but he's sick, so I'm not sure if we are still going.

I never understood why this was a big drinking day.  I mean, I know everyone is off tomorrow, but who wants to be hungover on Thanksgiving?

We went out last year - it was fun, but too crowded for me.

I'm planning on staying in tonight, but DH might meet a friend for a drink.

I have a friend picking me up and I'll be cabbing it home - so no worries. :)

I wouldn't be going out if she wasn't a good friend.  I tend to stay away from South Side bars in general... I'm getting so old. <img src="http://cdn.cl9.vanillaforums.com/downloaded/ver1.0/content/scripts/tinymce/plugins/emotions/images/smiley-cry.gif" border="0" alt="Cry" title="Cry" />

I'll keep an eye out for ya.  I have no clue where we'll be going after Fat Head's. Last year I think we did Jack's, but I'm hoping they decide on somewhere else.  I'm not a Jack's fan.

I'm staying in, DH and I have a tradition of drinking Blue Moon and doing some cooking/baking the night before Thanksgiving.

Being hungover is always easier when you have a lot of good food to eat the next day, at least for me.

We never get really out of control, just enjoy the fact that a long weekend is here and should some friends be available to hang out it's usually easier for them to find time to hang out before the weekend.

I went out three Thanksgiving Eves ago and I'll never do it again.  I was stupid drunk all night therefor grossly hung over for Turkey Day.  I barely ate again because I thought I was going to hurl at the sight of food.  And the bars were so crowded.

    Never again.
Maybe I'm getting too old, haha.

I might be, depending on what time FI makes it into town and how convincing my (younger) brothers are :)  I usually go out on this night, but I feel like I have no friends left in Pittsburgh anymore- everyone moved away!

True - I eat a lot when I'm hungover. :) But I try not to get too crazy.

Yeah - it's nice because I see my one really good friend who I very rarely get to see.  Like maybe one other time a year.  So I am really excited to hang out with her.

I've never gone out the night before Thanksgiving, and definitely will not tonight, since A. my parents will be here, and B. I cannot afford to go out around here- way too $$!

Um, this!! My sister went out one year, and she was soooo sick the next day, she could not eat dinner. My mom had to make her banana smoothies to get her to be a normal person and make it thru dinner!!

I went out once and it was insane. I prefer to stay home :-)

Yeah, I guess food doesn't do it for me when I'm hungover.  I prefer to lay on the couch all day in agony and whine.  Ha!

DITTO!  My mom eats when she's hung over so one time when I was still living at home, my mom made chicken Alfredo thinking it would help my hangover - WRONG.  I was more sick after I tried to eat some.  I'm better on the couch with a bottle of water and a giant bottle of aleve.

Chicken Alferdo for a hangover? That sounds like an awful idea! Certain foods help me and certain foods make it a lot worse.
