SA Wednesday

I simultaneously love and loathe schoolwide testing days. Mostly loathe.

In other news, FMIL has decided to make a video for our RD, complete with interviews of FI and me done separately. I cried. A lot. This is going to be embarrassing.

I thought you meant she was going to film the RD, and I thought "aww, that's not so bad."

But yeah ... if you mean a video to play at the RD, I would not like that.

Rain makes people forget how to drive. A yield sign is still a yield sign even in the rain.

I don't get why people think it's a good idea to go on vacation on Christmas. Other people have families too.

You mean people going on vacation to visit relatives or people going on vacation to a resort type of vacay?

I am guilty of vacationing during "family time" holidays. Usually it's Turkey Day, though, which I don't consider a real holiday and I avoid my family at all costs.

This. Or it suddenly is okay to go 30 mph in the left lane on an open highway. That's safe.

I woke up feeling this way today as well. :( So there goes my "perfect attendance" bonus in my classes.

ProfessorScience -- Did you talk to your FI about how you felt regarding the RD video? I wouldn't like that one bit either, having to do individual interviews and whatnot. My brother and sister-in-law had a cute video at their RD, but it was one someone had made with just pictures of the two of them growing up and such. It was pretty funny and both of them seemed to get a kick out of it. But the interviews... I couldn't handle that.

Oh, I mean, it's going to be sweet. They asked us pretty generic, "How did you meet, when did you know this was it?" questions. I just get super emotional, so I cried a ton and I know it's going to be embarrassing. They're going to have that along with the pictures of us growing up. It's not a big deal, and I'm excited to see his responses (although apparently we said exactly the same thing, so I'm sure it will be boring).

I took that the wrong way, then. I thought you cried because you didn't want to do it -- I didn't realize you had already done it and cried a ton during it LOL. My bad.

Well, I entered the DIRTY 30 club today :-D

Even though the FI's time off got canceled this week, we still had a nice time before he went into his shift this afternoon. Free Grand Slam at Denny's and my free "any drink you like for your birthday" at Starbucks this morning. Woot!

We went for dessert and stopped at a Alfred Angelo Bridal store to just to look. I've been SO PARANOID because was so afraid they weren't going to have any or crappy looking plus size dresses. I tried on 2 in the time we had and we both really liked the same one.

I think I'll be going with this one (now that I know what it will actually look like on my body) - http://tinyurl.com/3cecnup

Looking at dresses online on Size 0 & 2 bodies vs Size 20+ are totally different.

Sorry it took so long. The day has been crazy,

But this situation is the latter and I asked if we could leave on the 26th and FMIIL replies "I want to go to X and we can't get there and back in 4 days. But I guess we can leave then if we have to...I guess"

I have family too. I told FI he could go and I would stay home. I'm annoyed with the whole thing, because I know if the trip doesn't happen they'll blame me.

I already know that I'm going to be the reason that my MIL isn't going to spend Christmas morning with her first born. Oh well. I have said that I want to spend some time with my dad and brother on Christmas Day (probably just breakfast now) but we are the only family we all have now so they'll just have to suck it up. If they ever decide they want to talk to me on the phone about it or in real life: A) I would be shocked and B) I would tell them what's up and to suck it up and deal with it.

I'm just baffled by the whole thing I think. She wants FIs whole family to push Christmas up so they can go on vacation. I don't get that. You can't have your cake and eat it too...

My ILs won't go anywhere at Christmas because they refuse to be away from their daughter. The same daughter whom they called eleventy billion times while they were here visiting us this past weekend. I tell my husband about the cake and eating it too but, so far, nothing.
