Menu Cards

This may seem like a silly question, but should we have menu cards at each place setting if people have to include with their RSVPs their entree selection?

I don't plan on it.  Our guests are going to choose their entree when they RSVP, and we will mark their escort cards with what meal they ordered.  Maybe we will put one card on each table that details each course (soup, salad, main courses, etc)?  Other than that, I don't see a need for it.

I am..... it adds a nice touch, and people can read about what they will be eating... list a description of each entree, and the appetizer (if you have one) and the cake. I printed them myself on crisp white cardstock, and they came out looking very professtional and nice! I can email you the word document i used if you want to see what they looked like!

also, i know you have said that you are having your reception at Saratoga National, which is owned by One Rep, and i am having mine at the Hall of Springs. My banquet manager told me that my guests are re-ordering their entree at the reception, so they can change their order at the table if they would like to (they use response card entree selections as a basic outline of what they need to cook for that day).  For something like this, a menu would be very helpful. Not sure if this is how they do things at Saratoga National, but i would ask and find out!

That would be great!  Thank you!  Where did you buy the white cardstock?

I am too! I think it adds a classy touch! My reception is at The Italian Club in Albany.  Having the description of the dinner choices is a nice touch.
Also you can add in a description of your wedding cake and any additional desserts or courses that are included with your dinner.

It just makes things more formal and fancy!!

How do you word a Menu card, for example, if you are having 3 entress but each person picked their entree ahead of time?  Would you do something like "Entrees (Based on your selection)" and list all 3 entrees then? I need them to know they are not gettin all 3 entrees but the one they RSVPd on.

    Thoughts?
