Omni Hotel just got

hung the hell up on......I am making calls for hotel blocks and I called the Omni Royal to get a bid. Well the man told me since my wedding wasn't at their hotel I still had a food and beverage minimum to meet by either serving my guests brunch or lunch...on top of it it is a $2500 minimum....

Really?? Should I just suggest hotels for people and let them make their own arrangements? Or should I do a block?

What??? That's crazy.

That's crazy.! I've never heard that before. I'm not doing blocks, I'm just giving my OOT guests a list of nearby hotels and let them choose. Some people are picky about hotel amenities. And plus FMIL may let some guests stay with her.

<div>I am learning that people are picky where they stay. We are doing a small block for one hotel, as it is across the street from the venue and provide a deep discount. However, I think I will also provide a list of 3 cheaper surrounding hotels. FI was not pleased to learn the Best Man & BM (who are married) are book at their usually hotel they love...but it is not our hotel. </div>

I'm not doing a block either since I had to use my credit card to do it. On my wedding website I just put a list of diff hotels info in the area and they can call and get prices. I would hate to do a block and people dont show up..

Chile please! Omni is on one. Yeah just list different hotels at different price points and let them choose
