How is your holiday shopping going? Have you started? Who all do you buy for?
So far I have exactly 3 gifts, two of which I saw at Costco, tall LED candles for my Mom (my Dad refuses to allow candles with flames in the house) and a lighted makeup mirror for my daughter. I also got her a fleece throw for her bedroom at Kmart.

I do the buying for both families. Kevin's family chooses names on Thanksgiving for the adults, so I'll get four from his family (one each for me, him, his daughter & son........yes I do the buying). My parents, his Mom, my kids and his kids and now FOUR grandkids. Ugh! Our kids are easy, money = happy teens and young adults. I do the bulk of my shopping online with discount cards from JC Penney and Macy's, both of whom value me as a shopper and send tons of 20-30% off coupons that are good online. Because I work at home, everything gets shipped here. I'm going to have to find a different hiding place though, because I used to put all the boxes in the trunk of my car, but now my daughter drives it every day so I can't do that!

What is on your holiday list for yourself? Really nothing. I usually buy a couple of items to update my home holiday decor, we got a couple of tree ornaments on our honeymoon. We have so many bills from the honeymoon and medical bills that I have to focus on getting that taken care of.

No shopping has started. I've thought about it, does that count? But, in my thinking, I've come to no decisions, so really, it probably shouldn't count. I suck at holiday shopping.

We get back from the honeymoon on the 20th... and then that week I have 2 exams, (luckily only) 2 days of work, then Thanksgiving, and finally Black Friday shopping! I only planning on buying for my parents, Dan's parents, my siblings, and Dan. Maybe a friend or two but it's a pretty short list this year and I don't mind because that week I'll also be changing my name and writing a buttload of thank-you-cards.

As for myself... I never really get myself anything. HOWEVER, I may just buy myself some nice and durable (but fashionable) boots. I don't really want to ask anyone to buy them because I want to see what's out there and price check and whatnot.

Oh, and I've been losing weight soooooo some clothes shopping may be in order ;-)

How is your holiday shopping going? We're pretty much done. Layaway is a WONDERFUL THING.

Who all do you buy for? We got everything (minus stocking stuffers) for our 3 kids. We got ourselves a xbox 360 (on layaway also). Only people left are just our parents. And eachother. He says he doesn't want anything, but I think I'm going to surprise him with a nice pair of diamond earrings. Or a watch.

What is on your holiday list for yourself? Nothing really. I always worry about others instead of myself.

Who all do you buy for? My FI, my parents, his parents, my godparents (I'm pretty close with them), grandparents, boss, postdoc, and a few of my friends.

What is on your holiday list for yourself? I would love a massage.

Instead of gifts, I give cookie boxes to most of my family andfriends. Twenty kinds, two of each kind. That's a lotta cookies to make. So I've been baking since last month and storing them in our deep-freeze. At this point, I'm about half done.

I'm thinking that I'll get DH a Nook for Christmas. He's hard to shop for, so I'm sooo happy he actually mentioned something he wanted a few months ago. Stored that little tidbit away in the back of my mind!

For myself? Mostly, I want things that we didn't get off of our registry, or pieces of furniture for the house. But DH is having trouble with the idea of buying me towels that we're both going to use. My birthday is in two weeks as well, so I'm curious to see what he's come up with.

This is my favorite time of the year and I'm doing everything I can to hold out on decorating the house until after Thanksgiving. I have my lists started, but haven't bought anything yet. I do however have a box full of wrapping paper and ribbon all ready to go

The showers and wedding kinda took care of my wish list! But I'd really like to get a pair of gloves that I can wear and use my iPhone. Not sure if those exist...

How is my shopping going? So far it's not! Actually, I am determined to DIY every gift this year. So right now, I'm just gathering ideas. I pretty much know what I am making for everyone except for my older brother.

Who do I buy for? My parents and my older brother, FI, my future in-laws (well, FI and I go in on gifts together for them), and a couple of friends. My month board is doing a gift swap, so I'll get a gift for that as well

What's on my list? Some clothes, and a quilt rack to display all my projects! I have a suspect that my mom might get me some WR stuff (hair piece and DIY supples I need)

I haven't started shopping yet. FI and I are doing small gifts this year. We do a Secret Santa with his family and we haven't drawn names yet. FI's nephew turns 1 the day before Thanksgiving so we need to shop for his birthday and for Christmas! I am excited for that. I need to get gifts for my parents also.

As for my wish list... all I want is my FI to get his dream job. It will keep us here in Michigan and he deserves it.

I actually buy throughout the year. It makes it so much easier. I have probably about 15 items already (FSIL, FMIL, SIL, FI, Dad, grandpa, auntie)

Who all do you buy for? Mom, Dad, brother, SIL, FI, FMIL, FSIL, FI's gma, gpa, aunt (that's his whole extended family). My god-daughter too.

What is on your holiday list for yourself? candles, K-cups, not sure what else.

Ooh, that's way more impressive than cookies, in my book. I've made some great fudge in my time, but there seems to be about a 33% chance every time that it'll come out completely disastrous. : \

Oh... THEY DO! I actually saw those on the Today Show today!!! They have a special segment called Steals and Deals and these were featured today:

How is your holiday shopping going? Have you started? I have just started my holiday shopping within the last week or so. I bought a gift for FSIL/FBIL, my mom and FMIL.

Who all do you buy for? I usually buy for my 2 sisters, mom, dad, FI, FMIL, FFIL, FSIL/FBIL (FI and I go in together on the in-law gifts). The with my dads side of the family we usually do a Secret Santa, so I will need one gift for whomever. I am planning on doing the rest of my holiday shopping on Black Friday/Cyber Monday. My entire family +dads side all go out together after Thanksgiving dinner and it is a ton of fun!

What is on your holiday list for yourself? Honestly, I don't really need/want a lot for myself. I am way better at thinking about gifts for other people!

How is your holiday shopping going? Have you started? I haven't started yet. I have plans to go to birch run ina few weeks and then I always do Black Friday.

I am making a cook book for some of Fi's family and mine for xmas. I have started putting it together just not done yet.

Who all do you buy for?Usually a lot more people however, we won't be seeing FI's family this year. So we need things we can ship which means smaller items and gift cards.

What is on your holiday list for yourself?I need a new North Face fleece. FI and I are doing only stocking this year.

I LOVE Christmas and the giving of gifts. i really don't care about receiving them but I love finding that perfect gift for someone.

I don't really celebrate the holidays with gift giving. The only person who will be receiving a gift is my FI who's birthday is ON christmas...and he already got the present early because I didn't want to wait to give it to him.

My 1-year old nephew will also be receiving a book titled "The 12 Terrors of Christmas", but it's mostly a gag gift for the fun of my sister to read to him.
