alterations suggestions???

I will need a bussle and hem on my dress when I pick it up, but Dior Is way too expensive.  Where are some reasonalbe places to get alterations?

    I chose Bella Alterations in Livonia (near Laurel Manor)

    It cost me $190 to have my dress hemmed, bustled in the back and we also added a few bustles in the front so I don't trip on my dress when I change into flats :)

    They were GREAT! My mom, sister and I all had ours done there and we couldn't be happier.

    baileyleev  omg they do that??? i have been thinking of a way to wear my heals then change and my mom kept saying just wear heals all night so you dont trip on your dress.

    I got mine done by Michele at the Wedding Shoppe in Berkeley.  I was very happy with the whole process.  You should also check out the sticky at the top of the board.  It has a list of everyone's vendors--including alterations.

    yes! I had no clue how I was going to do it, my ceremony heels are 4" and I knew I would be tripping all over the front of the dress!<div>
    </div><div>So the seamstress just put a few loops and ties so I can "bustle" up the front of the dress slightly so I don't step on it all night (and it's lifted just enough that my rhinestone flats will peek out! )</div>

    Ditto on Michelle at the Wedding Shoppe.  She's great to work with and who cares about the price...you only get to wear a wedding dress once - better it fit than be frugal!
