I cannot say enough about the great talents of Matt Buckman at i do films. He is amazing. I mean just amazing. He is a sweet and awesome guy with the kind of talent that you know you got more than you paid for. If you are looking for more than a cheezy 80's style wedding video check him out. Anyway, enough about matt, now about me!!! Here is the link:

The jewelry is from La Valle Bridal Millinery in Michigan (Detroit area, where I am from) Mary is awesome. She handmade the jewelry and it cost $32 per set of necklace and earrings. She has a website but I can't remember what it is (it kinda sucks actually). But if you are from the Detroit area, check her out. She is very reasonable and I have known her for years.
We had planned for Matt to come at noon to get a couple getting ready shots, I was supposed to be at the church at two. A couple days before the wedding, after I went over the final timeline with my DOC, I realized the first dance, speeches etc. were going to take longer than the amount of time that he had allotted in the contract for us. He quickly agreed to still come at noon and stay till all the important stuff was over, however long that took. I am not sure how long he stayed but I know he stayed long after the speeches and dances, with no additional charge. So, if I were to guess, I would say he stayed about 10 hours maybe.
For us, honestly, we didn't plan to have a videographer. Relatively speaking, we didn't have a very large budget for the wedding. But after some thought, I changed my mind. We had to rearrange some things to come up with the money, but for us it was worth it. I am so glad I changed my mind. Honestly the day flies by. For me, so much had happened that morning that my mind was flying all day, so to be able to see it from the outside - to remember that feeling - tt is awesome and priceless. I highly recommend having a videographer.
Sidenote - If you read my vendor reviews you might remember my bridal alterations that were done in Michigan, were...well...messed up, so I spent the whole morning having the angels at La Modesta downtown fix my dress. I add this only as a reminder that things can go VERY wrong on your wedding day, just remember what is important. Don't forget to laugh. And make sure you have good vendors that will CYA if something does go wrong.
