Gift ideas

Hi Ladies,

     I was wondering if you could give me a few ideas or suggestions. My FI brother in law is going to be his best man and my new sister in law has been wonderful helping me out with wedding ideas, favors etc.  They're anniversary is the day after we get married so we were going to have an anniversary dance for them using their wedding song. At the rehersal dinner as a special thank you we were also planning on giving them a card with a note telling them that we reserved a room for them to celebrate they're anniversary.  My question -  do you think I should make up a basket to leave in their room and if so what ideas or suggestions do you have for the basket.

    I think that is such a nice and thoughtful thing you are doing!  I'm sure they will appreciate it so much.

    You're obviously doing plenty, but yes, I'd likely go that extra step and leave a basket in their room.  If they are wine drinkers, I'd leave a bottle with two glasses (or some other type of drink you know they enjoy), some kind of snack that they enjoy (chocolates?), and a nice card. 

    Of course, being me, if I knew they were into it - I'd also leave something fun from the adult shop, because who doesn't like that?!

    Another option is having an Edible Arrangement in the room (if it has a mini fridge).  Friends of ours had one delivered to our hotel right before we arrived for our engagement party.  It was a wonderfully delicious suprise. (A bouquet of chocolate covered strawberries)

    Thanks for your ideas, that's the line I was thinking. A bottle and some strawberries with some nice glasses.  Haden't thought about the edible arrangement, what a great idea.  I really appreciate your suggestions. Hope you have a great day.  Take care

    That is a much nicer gift than a silly monogramed shotglass or wedding day jewelry.  I am all for shopping for people to suit their personalities, not to suit a wedding day.  I am sure they will really appreciate it.

    For my shower gift, a friend gave me a honeymoon basket which I thought was an incredible idea.  There was a bottle of wine for me, and a bottle of beer for my FI (he's not a wine drinker) and glasses, some chocolates, 2 towels, and some candles.  Everything you need for a romantic evening.  I loved it!!!  You could always do something like that.

    Thank You ladies, that's exactly the idea I was going for.  And the beer for him is the perfect addition.  Wouldn't have thought of that.
