Photography: Corinne Tran (Studio Tran) vs Matthew Foster

I keep going back and forth between these two photographers. Has anyone had personal experience with either of these? Thanks!

There are reviews on both if you search "Matt Foster" and "Studio Tran" at the bottom of the screen. Make sure you search for "Current Board", then click go. Otherwise sometimes if you just hit enter, it searches all The Knot boards.

I have booked Matthew Foster for my wedding, after having considered Studio Tran.  We settled on Matt because he was so laid back and relaxed...very easy to get along with.  I have known several people who used him and raved about the quality of his work.  They have also indicated that he does a good job of staying out of sight on the day of the wedding, which is important to me — no one wants the photographer taking over the dance floor with his own lights.

I think what sums up Matt is that instead of creating moments, he captures them.  His photos are art!  I'm so excited to have him shoot our wedding (and so is my checkbook...one of the more reasonably priced photogs around!)

Don't think you can go wrong with either!

I met both Matthew and Corine. Both are super nice and made me feel comfortable. I really think either is great choice! I hate making decisions! ;)

Photographer is definitely a tough choice.  I agree that you can't go wrong with either.  It's very important to make sure you have good chemistry with your photographer, that way your photos come out looking genuine.  At the end of the day, whoever you go with will be a great choice.  Maybe you can narrow your option based on price or package options.  I know Matt does a la carte and the Trans have more of a traditional "package" system, so maybe if you favor one over the other, that'l help!  Good luck!
