Fried chicken?

So I had a debate about whether serving fried chicken at my wedding is "ghetto" or not. What do you ladies think?

Full Menu:
Mac n cheese
Potato salad
Teriyaki meatballs
Green Beans
Fried chicken
Rolls

You may have people make that (very immature) joke. But honestly, do you want fried chicken as a part of your wedding meal? Cause if you want it and it's going to lend to making your day the happiest for YOU (and the hubby to be of course), then do it. And definitely don't worry about what everyone else thinks.

  • Question: are you serving fried drummettes or Larger pieces of chicken? Not that it matters much but the wedding that I've been to that served fried chicken served drummettes and I didn't think about it.

I planned on serving all pieces....
  • Go for it.. It's your wedding! I personally enjoy fried chicken. My only concern is making sure the crunchy-ness remains (no soggy chicken) but I'm sure the caterer knows how to handle that.

lol, My SIL (brother's wife) kinda gave me the gas face...
  • Lol. I think this depends on the wedding and the crunchiness factor like PP said. if it get soggy then no bueno. I'd also kinda feel weird getting into that grease in a cocktail dress, I'd figure it out though....
