Where to find the florist?

Hello all!  So we are having our wedding ceremony in Birmingham and our reception is in Livonia at the Italian American Club.  Do people usually get flowers closer to the reception site or the ceremony site?  Any recommendations?

I don't *think* it matters where the florist is closer to. You can probably go with any florist, but they may charge a bit extra for delivery if they're having to travel very far. I don't think B-ham to Livonia is that far, though.

Our wedding's in Rochester and our florist is in Wyandotte. Silk Thumb Florist (but we're using real flowers for centerpieces). Check 'em out! Soooo sweet and they work with you about what you like and what your budget is. [:

You don't have to get your flowers from a florist nearby....like Meegles said, it's just the delivery charge to ask about.  Our flowers came from Eastpointe and went to Birmingham and Troy...no big deal.  We went with http://www.bellisarioflorist.com/  - They are really good about executing your vision and making the room come together. Sometimes they are hard to pin down though...they aren't good about giving a bride one point of contact.
