Attire Question for wedding in St. Augustine

Hey girls...FI and I are going to a wedding soon in St. Augustine---we've never been there before. The ceremony is at the Lightner Museum at 530 pm and reception is following at the OC White Room...we left a message for the host to get the attire info, but I am knotting and thought I would just ask you who may have been there before! :)

I'm guessing by the websites for the locations and the time that it will probably be a formal wedding...so my question is this: What would you and FI wear if you were going to this wedding?! :)  Thanks, girls!

    Unless the invitation said black tie, I wouldn't assume that it's ultra formal (Florida is a pretty casual state overall lol).  I would probably just wear a cocktail dress or something like that, and my DH would probably wear his typical "uniform" lol- collared shirt with khakis (and maybe a tie).

    eta: You can expect it to be hot so the less clothes, the better :).

    Ok thanks!! But now I have another question! :) Cocktail dress to me means a version of a little (not too little :) black dress...is color appropriate in Florida?? Not crazy colorful, but like a [mostly] green and white dress?? Or should it be darker colors for evening?? I just don't know!! haha.

    Glad you figured it out! :)  As for color, anything goes here (although some people still hold onto the notion that black at a wedding is inappropriate).
