Where do you all buy your shoes, in person or online?

I'm looking for casual shoes, but I'm apparently super picky because I can't find any I like. I want something like a Mary Jane in brown leather with no heel. All I can find are really dressy looking or really old lady looking. The ones I ordered from Aldo are "no longer available" and they cancelled my order.

I shop at Bandolino for a lot of my work shoes. Or DSW.

(There's an Aldo at Pentagon City Mall, you may get lucky if you go to the actual store)

So, some of their shoes can get old lady looking, but I have never worn a more comfortable shoe in my life than Softspots. (<----CLICK!) I have a pair of their black mary jane flats and I LOVE them. LOVE. Seriously.

I get shoes whereever I can. Journey's has a lot of new boat style shoes and cute things like that. Their sister store Shi might have some cute stuff too. I mainly buy my shoes at like DSW, Nordstroms, Aldo.... I'm just a shoe hoar though.

I have to try on shoes before I buy them. I am partial to Macy's shoe department.

And now I have Kelly's Shoes in my head. THESE SHOES ARE MINE, BETCH.

I buy my shoes from Target. I'm cheap lol.

But nice shoes? I would go with Zappos or Endless, where you can try them on and ship them back for free if you don't like them.

I don't actually live in DC, theknot just doesn't let me live in Richmond. I have looked here in town, but I didn't see them. I might have to look again.

I think I'm just too picky. I'll have to go look at all those sites again to see if I scrolled over something real fast.

I like zappos for on-line because of the free shipping and returns. I like Naturalizer for work shoes because their N5 Comfort line is amazing. I check out DSW sometimes if I'm in the market for something new or casual.

I love zappos too. Plus they have cute radio commercials like the girl who is returning her running shoes that someone sent her for a deepfat fryer. Thats a company I can get behind.

I hate trying on clothes when shopping, but shoes are something that I am able to try on easily so it is best for me to just shop in the store.

I feel overwhelmed looking for shoes online.

I think I just need to cave on the no heels thing. Most of them have small heels (like 1/2") so that could work. I just really don't need an extra height.

You should try looking at the Clarks website. I think they have a Mary Jane, and in general they are the best for boots, clogs, or comfortable walking sandals. I go crazy whenever I go to the Clarks outlet.

10 or 11. Just call me bigfoot. A brown, leather maryjane is what I'm after. With a medium strap and not too dressy. I want to be able to wear it with jeans and sweaters. But I don't want anything too casual either that looks like sneaker. If you can find something I like you will be my savior!

We also have outlet stores near here for Etienne Aigner and some other good shoe designers, so I shop there too.
