Affordable Reception SW Suburbs

So everything is so expensive. Looking for reasonable reception sites in the southwest suburbs of Chicago. Preferably Naperville, Aurora, Oswego, Plainfield, Lemont, Oakbrook, Lombard, St. Charles, etc.

Any ideas??!!

You need numbers to really decide.

We did the WIlliam Tell with Candice in the Atrium room.  THe room is magnificent. She was great.  She set up my favors on each plate and a few other reception details the day of.  She had to leave half way through but came up to us, explained, and introduced the person that would be there in her place.  ALso, there was never a line at the bar because the servers were so great.

We also looked at Hickory Hills Country Club, Pierre's, Skylight Banquets, Oak Lawn Hilton, Belvedere, and a few others I can't think of right now.

Just search "reception" in topics on this board.  This is a reaccuring topic on local boards.

    Would you include Rolling Meadows?

Meridian Banquets offers reasonable prices to look at.

Check out Cantigny in Wheaton.  I was going to have my wedding there, it's really pretty.

Cantigny is expensive!  Beautiful but not cheap.  They start at about 70 per plate.  You should look into Glendale Lakes Golf Club.  It's more west suburbs but so far they've been great.  There was a bit of mess up with my date but made it up to me by throwing in some extras.  The  prices are great to begin with and gratuity is built into their price!

I am having my wedding in a month at the Rialto Square Theatre in Joliet. It's a beautiful and unique place, and affordable if you're looking to have a large wedding.

Oops apparently Cantigny was a bad recommendation? I had to cancel the venue like a year and a half ago due to funds, but at the time it wasn't expensive...   It was $58 a plate then, and I didn't think that was bad as it included alcohol for 4 hours...

I recently looked at Cantigny and thought it was expensive. $80/plate for chicken, with the usual amenities - 4 hours bar, etc. But it is SO beautiful.

I did an excel spreadsheet based on a chicken dinner, four hours open bar, horsdoevres, wine toast (not champagne). The cheapest were as follows:

Carriage Greens Country Club (Darien) http://www.carriagegreens.com/

    Fox Valley Country Club (Aurora)
    http://www.foxvalleycountryclub.com/index.html

     Villa Olivia

Ruffled Feathers Golf Club - (Lemont)

This being said, I did NOT look at places like Oswego and Plainfield, which are too far out from where I'm at in Wheaton. I was focused more Wheaton, Naperville, St. Charles, Oak Brook, Itasca, Glen Ellyn, Glendale Heights area.

Royalty West Banquets in Willow Springs, IL. Just a little bit less than $50 a plate with an open bar. Very beautiful, and the food is delicious!
