I got a different dress!

So I haven't been real excited about my dress and it has always been more of a "it will work" rather than an "I love it". So on whim before having mine altered next Tuesday, my mom suggested we take one more peek to make sure there isn't a different one- which I was against at first but then decided to give it a shot.

I found THE DRESS. Now I know what people are talking about when they say you know. I had six I wanted to try on and after putting this on I didn't even try the others. I cried, my mom cried, and the dress came home with me. Surprisingly, they exchanged the first dress for me so I wasn't stuck with both.

The only problem now is that the first dress was white, the second dress is ivory- so I need to dye my shoes and get a different veil (not a big deal since mine was only $25 on ebay : ) ).

Now my predicament- Do I have to worry about my ivory dress clashing with everything white at my wedding? My colors are black, white, and turquoise. Or am I being a little too OCD?

    My dress is ivory and all my linens are white. I'd say don't worry about. I'm not. No one's going to know. I am,  however, having the groom wear an ivory shirt/vest/tie so that he doesn't clash with me. HTH!

    ETA: Congrats on finding THE dress. Good thing you went back. And bonus that they exchanged it! Yay!

    I don't think it will clash. I was told by the wedding shops that Ivory looks better in pictures and in your pictures it will look white. I would say keep your colors the way they are, no one will notice.

    I think whites and ivories look really good together actually. Think of white and ivory bouquets like these:

    I think you will be fine. And contrats on finding THE DRESS! Totally agree that you just know which is YOUR dress :).

    Thanks everyone! I didn't even think of doing a white and ivory mix bouquet- that would be gorgeous!

    I think the ivory will look much better in pictures too- it's a pretty light ivory, almost just a lwarm white. I'm pretty fair skinned so I think it will work better.

    Woohoo! I'm so excited for you! Don't worry about the colors; it won't be an issue. Had you picked what your flowers will look like yet? A white/ivory mix like drdifabio showed would be awesome, maybe w/turquoise and black ribbons.

    We are doing a mixture of roses, hydrangeas, and freesia. Bridesmaids are a super pale yellow and super pale green.

    Congrats! Don't worry about the ivory. We are doing the same colors and my dress is ivory too, but looks white in pictures.  It will be beautiful no matter what :)

    That is a truly gorgeous dress.  I may look to try it on myself, since it's got straps.

    Don't worry about the ivory/white thing.  Nobody will notice and nobody says you have to match your surroundings.  For the shoes and veil, could you just tea stain them to get them a touch darker?

    Oh! That's a great idea! I didn't even think of trying to tea stain them.

    I love that it has straps and a little more coverage up top, since I'm pretty top heavy. The back is really cool too- they don't have a picture of that though.
