Weight issues! (somewhat long I apologize)

I am about 10 to 20 heavier than when I bought my dress in November. Scared me into getting back into shape. I really don't want to deal with not fitting my dress. I'm not going to lie, when I weighed 155 I was about 15lbs over my max weight for my height. I found out  a week ago that I now weigh 175. Not working in a grocery store/physical labor really got to me. I started working at an office last July and I suppose that it really hurt my already not so good weight problem. Add to the fact that I have never been in my ideal weight range before and it just sucks! I went from being 5"1 90lbs at the end of 7th grade to 5"3 125lbs at the beginning of 8th. With the onset of puberty my metabolism all but came to a screeching halt. Now here I am 21 turning 22 this year and I have no idea what the "real" me looks like! The wedding is helping me get my butt in gear! And for that I am thankful, I just wish that I had been this diligent months ago!

Good news is that at the end of week 1 of working out intensively for 25 minutes a day 5 days a week (I bought 2 Jillian Michaels videos and they are intense) I have some side definition where my abs should be :) Yay! So far no weight difference but hey it starts with baby steps.

Thanks for listening to me guys. I needed to get it off my chest :)

  • Well, 2 months is still a long time left to lose weight!  Good luck =]

  • If you aren't using anything, try tracking your calories with www.myfitnesspal.com. I've just been restricting my calories and walking the dog for about an hour 2 times a week and I've lost 20ish pounds- It hasn't even felt like I've been trying.

  • There is still plenty of time for you to get in shape, good luck :)

  • Just stick with it girl! I was posting an "Accountability post" daily and didn't today since most people aren't participating, but this inspired me to add it back in! You should be proud of yourself for working on yourself and being healthy!

  • I'm with you girl. I gained so much weight after college. But I agree with someone said myfitnesspal...so good I lost ten lbs using it! Good luck! We can do it!

  • Good job getting back on track!  Its such a difficult thing to do, but you will feel so good when the lbs start coming off.

I third the idea of using myfitnesspal.com. It's amazing how many calories you take in that you don't always realize. I lost about 11 pounds using it.

  • Even though you haven't lost weight, if you are turning your fat into muscle, I bet your dress already fits better than it did before! You have two months to kick some butt, I think that is plenty of time to get to where you need to be.
  • good luck girl and stick with it! it isnt easy but if you remain commited and accountable, you will succeed! tracking calories is also an absoute must!

  • I am in the same boat.  I gained 10-15 lbs since I bought my dress, which was snug to begin with... I go in Saturday for my first fitting and I am pretty sure I am going to have to go up a size.

But I am not trying to stress it too much.  I have a lot to be thankful for.  I lost 47lbs and gained them all back within a year so I obviously did it wrong. I am not going to crash diet or do anything crazy these next couple of months.  I will exercise like I usually do, and try to eat clean wholesome food, and cut back on the wine (that is my weakness).  We are planning to TTC right after wedding so I don't want to shock my body too much right now.
