Officiant rates?

Is $500 reasonable for an officiant?  I'm not sure what the average rates are.  My wedding ceremony and reception will be held at a banquet hall.

    I got a quote from Rev. Phil Landers (http://www.idoweddings.tv/) and it was $500 and that was just for the ceremony, didn't include rehersal. The full package with rehersal and a script of what he would say and pre-ceremony meeting was $800. I know other girls on this board have gotten cheaper quotes from other officiants so I know you can get them for cheaper than $500. (we didn't end up using one as we went with a church that had a pastor we liked and weren't charged extra for it). Good luck!

    Our officiant is Rev. Thomas J Perrucci and he charges $250 for the cermony with an additional $200 if we want to do a rehersal, so $450 total.  Pretty reasonable when compared to some of the others that we contacted.  He met with us for over an hour to go over an outline for our ceremony and readings.  Nice guy, pretty easy to work with.

    I used Rev. Lindval with Clergy for weddings, and he charged a total of $325, which includes the Ceremony for $250 and an additional $75 for the rehearsal. 

    They were amazing!!! It was great and I truly would recommend them and they also had different ceremony options that you could choose from and also change if needed for yourself.

    We are using him too. I think he is pretty reasonable too and so far so good!
