lloking for rehearsal dinner site in OKC

We are looking for an awesome & fun site for my daughter's rehearsal dinner in OKC.  We are not from the city and would love some recommendations.  Prefer not to have to cater.  Reasonable price would be good too...we're looking for fun and good food!

  • Do you have a type of cuisine or general location in mind?

What part of OKC are you looking for?  Driving across town can take quite a while, and is no fun for anyone.  If it will be on a weekend I would avoid Bricktown at all costs.  Maybe its just a personal preferance, but absolutely hate dealing with the traffic and paying to park somewhere.  Maybe try Irma's burger house in midtown.  The food is delicious, and I hear they are great.  I would also look into places in the paseo district.  Abuelos would be pretty decent, or Zio's , the options are endless.  All depends on what you prefer.
  • Avoid Zios. I wanted to punch the hostess in the face. I had reservations, and our rehearsal was running behind so I called ahead to let them know we would be 20 minutes late. They said that was fine and they would hold our reservation. We got there 15 minutes later than our original reservation time. They wouldn't seat us until everyone was there. Hello...It's a Friday night! People need to find parking! I already had 17 people with me. I couldn't believe they were ready to turn away 30+ people after telling me it would be fine.
  • OH!  super fun and cowboyish!!  We are having ours at Cattleman's.  If you call ahead you can reserve a room, or you can just be sat in the general seating area.  Loads of history in the stock yards.  While it's hokey, its SO much fun, and the food is great too!  Decent pricing too (if you are having a large rehersal dinner like we are the room rental is $1000 in F&B.  That comes out to $10/pp for us)
