Send out invites?

So my FI called the hotel our block is at, and was told that the hotel is filling up fast, and he is worried that our guest won't be able to get a room. He wants to send the invites out now, I'm worried people will lose them. Our wedding is 10/13...What would you do? Is it to early?

I'm October 6th, and sent mine out Friday. Did you book a block with the hotel? Is it that your block is selling out, then? Or the rooms in general, and they don't have rooms saved?

I've seen 2 months as an invite deadline, but also seen 3, so I think you could go ahead and send them out.

The block is fine, the hotel can reserve us 30 rooms, but the hotel is selling out in general. FI is freaking out that it will fill up, it created a huge arguement over when to send invites...to keep the peace I'm ready to send them out the door....like everyone else I am over it!

I'm also October 6th and sent mine out today. We put aside a block of rooms, so even if the hotel is full, we have at least 10 rooms at 2 hotels until 4 weeks before the wedding. Then the guests are on their own after that.

Might as well send them out. Are most of your guests family? If so, then I think u will be fine.

Maybe wait another week or so, but I don't think it would be bad to send them out now.

I agree to wait another week or so. I think anything less than 2 months is too early, and you risk people forgetting.

We have a firemans convention in town the same weekend as ou wedding our hotel is already completly sold out besides our wedding block. I reached out to friends that I know want to come to the after party (we rented the meeting room) and let them know of the convention and everyone booked months ago. I also gave oot guests a heads up im pretty sure everyone who is staying booked pre invites. IMO its not worth a fight with fi to not send them now.

Thanks everyone! I think we will wait another week or so and send them. I think he just had a groomzilla moment! Haha.

We're sending ours out in the next week or two and I'm October 13th as well. A lot of our guests are OOT, but we don't have anything major going on in town then. Another reason we need to get them sent out is that a few of our guests addresses are only good until the end of July, so we want to get them out before they change since they're already addressed and stamped.
