dance lessons in albany

Hi everyone!  I live in the Albany area.  I used to dance and would love to take lessons with my fiance for our first dance.  I looked into a couple ballroom studios and they are very expensive!!  So needless to say, they are out of our budget.

I'm just curious if anyone found a reasonable price at some dance place somewhere. 

Also just looking to hear thoughts and experiences about the whole thing (since my fiance is not too keen on the idea!)  How was it?  Is it worth it?  What did he think, or how did you convince him lol.  Let me know.  Thanks Smile

    Hi Angelin,

    I think we're all pretty far from Albany; I'm in Ithaca and a lot of others are in Syracuse.  Have you tried the Hudson Valley board?  Also, have you thought about getting a college student who's a dance major to help you as a cheaper option? 

    As for me, I think we're skipping the dance lessons.  I have to think really hard when I'm doing choreography so I would be trying too hard and not having any fun.  It sounds like a great thing for you though!   A friend of mine took a dance lesson or two with her fiance; they didn't end up using specific choreography, but they did incorporate a couple of the moves.  They both thought it was fun.
