Lanterns and Pomanders

Im having a tented wedding and I want the paper lanterns in the ceiling, but I just had the idea to use white lanterns and also hang purple and lavendar(my colors) pomanders to give the cieling color and texture. What do you think about it?????? any ideas or suggestions?

also any suggestions on where I can get Good inexpensive lanterns??

Sounds great! Try thepaperlanternstore.com (or something like that!) for lanterns. Also I made tissue paper pomanders for our wedding and made directions on how to make them in my bio under DIY, if you're interested!

OOh, Thanks for the directions, how far in advance did you make your pomanders? I want to get started early but I dont want the tissue paper to fade, the wedding isnt till Sept5th

I'm making all of the flowers currently, and I'm 6 months out. Then I'm going to take a few weeks before the wedding to fan them all out and put them into the styrofoam balls to actually make the pomanders. I made two initially just to see if I could do it, but after some time, the tissue got smashed and what not. So that's why I'm just making the flowers right now and not fanning them out. If you plan to go this route, make sure to give yourself plenty of time!
