vegetarian problems

i have two cousins who are vegetarians, how do i handle this with the caterers? should i have a vegetarian option for everyone or just the two cousins? i dont want to end up spending alot because of this

Re: vegetarian problems

  • Most caterers will supply a vegetarian option upon request, but I think it's nice to make it a standard option for everyone.  A lot of non-vegetarians like the vegetarian options at weddings.

  • DH is a vegetarian so we had crimini ravioli with a sherry cream sauce as an option at the wedding.  34 guests decided to select this option.
  • I would definitely provide a vegetarian option for all of your guests.  Like PP have said, even non-vegetarians may not want a meat dish for dinner all the time.

  • Our caterer accommodated any special diets, at no additional charge , as long as it wasn't more than 10 percent of the guest list. We let people know through our website and spoke to those we knew had issues directly to let them know we could take care of them. Officially offering it as a choice would have cost us an extra 5 dollars per person, of the total guests, which was not in our budget. OP, find out the cost to offer the option to everyone. If its in your budget, do so. But you should be able to 'silently' offer the veggie option at no additional cost.
