Charity Favors

I feel a bit odd even being concerned about this but does anyone know what is a typical doanation in lieu of favors? I have no idea where to even start. I was thinking whatever we were planning to spend on favors would be the amount we would donate.. but then that doesn't seem like very much.

    There are many posts and discussions about this.  I suggest you scroll down a bit and read through those for your answers.

    The opinion on this topic is split 50/50 between participants in the boards, and I think you can find some good discussion.

    I would say donate what you are comfortable with. I think if you donate the amount you would spend on favors then that is perfectly acceptable. If you would like to give more then that is great too! GL  :)

    It is in regards to donating money to a charity instead of favors.  It is very similar, if not the same as others.

    Just give a donation of what you can afford,every little bit helps and will appreciated.

    I see that.  And I did not say if I was for or against it. I simply told you there are many other posts about this.  To specifically answer your question (which can be found in other posts) people use the money they would use for favors to donate to a charity of their choice.  Now that depends on what you would have spent on favors.  It can be anywhere from $.50 to $3-4pp.
