  You don't.  The flower effect is for before you walk down the aisle. Which is why I don't really see a need for them at all.  But many like the look.

  I think they try to throw the petals more off to the side and you would be walking in between them not just walking right over them. The petals do add to the visual.

  Exactly.. your train will likely catch them and drag them, but its not a big deal and no one will notice thats happening
