Where did you get your FI's wedding band...

Where did you get your FI's wedding band, and what is it made of, and why did you chose that?
I am leaning toward silver for him, beacuse it is not expensive, and if it gets smashed and needs to be cut off, it can be repaired/replaced inexpensively...

  • stainless steel is really popular now too, and great for someone who may be rough on their ring.  Titanium is also good, (and cheap) but I think it's extremely difficult to cut so not a great idea for someone who works with their hands and may need a ring cut off.
  • I've heard that palladium is very popular.
  • I got his wedding band at Symmetry. They have a lot of unique designs and can custom make something if you had something specific in mind.

He is traditional and wanted gold.

However, now a days, titanium is popular. (They carry all of the popular metals).

They also have layaway to help you out with the cost.

  • All of our rings came from Aucoin Hart. H had such a great experience there when he bought my e-ring, that we went back for both of our bands. The service there is nothing short of spectacular. Also, we had been engaged for about 6 months when the setting on my ring got knocked to the side. I took it in to get fixed and they said it would be ready in a couple of days. I got a call later that SAME DAY that it was ready to be picked up.

  • We got FI's ring on Amazon...it's a tungsten carbide ring. Was on sale from $99 to $25...I like that it's cheaply priced so if it gets lost or he loses more weight, I can just buy another.

  • We got ours at Symmetry and his is something really unique like Tungsten (is that right?). It's darker than normal metal.
