Which fabric for wedding dress?

I'm towards the end of shopping for my wedding dress. I am in love with two dresses that are basically the same except for the fabric: one is taffeta and one is satin.

Are there any pros/cons to either one? The wedding is August, 2011.

Taffeta will be cooler in August. Satin could be hot and heavy.

Ditto what pp said. I think I've heard taffeta gets wrinkled more easily though? Not 100% sure...

Yeah, you're really going to be hot either way, but I think satin would probably be worse. But, it's easier to steam wrinkles out of satin than taffeta.

I don't really like the texture of taffeta, or the way it makes a swishy sound, but that's just me

I had Tafetta, and was still hot. And as much as I was in and out of the limo, it really didnt wrinkle.

So I think it will come down to what you like better.
