Quidnessett Anyone?

Hi All, We are looking at the Quidnessett CC and after doing a search, I haven't seen much on them here. Does anyone have rants/raves? Any expereinces? I'm worried b/c they do 2 weddings at a time...
Thanks so much!

We checked out Quidnessett when we were searching for our venue. I thought the place was really pretty and the views of the bay are awesome. The thing that killed it for us was that there wasn't a seperate area for cocktail hour and we were going to have our ceremony out side on the patio and I didn't like that you had to go through the ballroom to access it. I didn't want our guests to see the reception space beforehand.

It's a very attractive venue and their prices seemed really reasonable.

We are having our wedding at Quidnesset and have heard nothing but positive feedback from anyone who we've told about our location. We've heard that the food is great, and so far the customer service is fabulous. I'm pretty sure (but not 100%) that each wedding gets its own personal coordinator, so that you should have a staff number who's completely dedicated to your party. A downfall is that the cocktail area is in the same room as the reception, but honestly, I didn't see any other downfall. It's gorgeous and reasonably priced. Good luck looking!

Hi! I am a Quidnessett Bride!! July 2012 though! I am exicted to have it there. I have been to previous weddings there and it is absolutely beautiful with views of the Bay and the two balconies! The food is pretty good and the venue is very reasonable.  For our cocktail hour I requested that they seperate part the 3rd bar from the rest of the room with a sheet or something so that way my bridal party can be all together and not scrambling looking for everyone for intro's. Other than that the place is awesome!

My FH and I must have been to every venue in Rhode Island before choosing QCC because we believed that they were the most affordable for our guest list (about 250 people).

Hope you fall in love with QCC. It is a great place to have a wedding and the staff is unbelieveable. They are so nice and always help you if you have questions or concerns. :)

I like Quidnessett, it just wans't an option for me because so many people have their wedding there and Iwanted something different. But I went to a wedding there that had 350-400 people. You wouldn't have even know there were that many people! I do agree the only downfall was the cocktail, it was prety packed because the other wedding had their cocktail hour at the same time.

My brother had his wedding there during the New Year's Eve blizzard of 2008.  The food was good, the service was good, and the hall kept everything running smoothly.  The parking lot was plowed better than some of the roads.

I was just at a wedding there in July. Also, I have been to about 15 other events at quidnessett all through college and after because we had such good luck and service with them.

I didint think it was that big of a deal that the cocktail hour was in the room. I know when I personally looked at venues--that was a big detraction for me-- and I "absolutely could not have it" but now that I think back- hers was in that room and I didint even think twice about it. By the time we got our escort cards, signed the guest book, got a drink and put down our bags etc.. we were outside on the deck taking photos of the beautiful view

After the cocktail hour-- we all went inside and it was then that I sat down and really noticed the decor that I hadn't before, so I think it worked out well
    .
The food was good and there was a ton of it. We weren't given an option on the food, it was just pasta, chicken, salad. Etc. But that ws fine with everyone I knew. I am sure if there were people that didint eat chicken in the room they had  a separate dish.

Its a really big space, and I like that its always really pristine.. the bathrooms are big and well kept (which is a huge selling point for my mom at venues we went to).

Also, dont worry too much about the other wedding. The only time you would see people was in the bathroom. I could hear the other wedding (they were in the smaller room) when I was at the bathroom or in the hallway-- but just their music. And you can't see in the other rooms at all, so you don't have to worry about nosy guests peeking in. In fact, I didint realize there was another wedding going on until I went to the ladies room-- and if I didin't go I wouldn't have realized at all!
