Father/Daughter Dance

What song are you dancing too for your father/ daughter dance if your having one?

We are dancing to Conway Twitty.. Thats my job...

I know the song is from a son perspective but when my dad bailed me out of trouble I couldnt thank him enough and he just said "thats my job". So it has some meaning for me.

My dad looks like Dan Seals.. (old country singer) ... he is a country boy so Sweet child of mine wouldnt work.. But I love that song..

"Cinderella" by Steven Curtis Chapman... it's about a girl asking her daddy to dance with her... when she's little, when she's practicing for prom, and when she's getting married. I've always loved to dance, so Dad picked this one, and we're both going to cry; I just know it.

"In My Daughter's Eyes" Martina McBride. It's definitely appropriate since I look at him like the earth revolves around him. He was initially against it but when I explained my reasons he teared up and agreed.

My other choice was "Just the Way You Are" by Billy Joel

We are dancing to "My Girl" by The Temptations. My dad used to sing that to me when he would rock me to sleep. I played it a couple of months ago when I was going over our play lists and my dad started crying. I said "I just picked it because it's what you used to sing to me." He barely whispered "I remember" and left the room.

I'm letting my dad pick. He seems to be very excited that he gets to choose. And, he's going to keep it a surprise from me. He will tell my FI, so we can make sure that the band knows it.
