Catering HELP!!!

So FI and I are on two different minds when it comes to catering. I want to have it catered while he wants to do it our selves(He thinks we can save more money doing it our selves)... we are having 150 people at our wedding. Can you ladies give any advice please!!

Oh wedding and recption will be at Woldumar Nature Center and they have a small kitchen  which is why FI thinks we can do it.

    I personally think you should have it catered.  I think you guys will have enough to worry about on your wedding day, and having to think about preparing and cooking all that food on your own (or even with the help of family and friends) might be overwhelming.  If you can afford to have it catered, do it and save yourself the headaches.

    I wouldn't want to worry about cooking and making sure the food is warm the day of.  I think a wedding is supposed to be a day of celebration not only for you, but your family also .  I wouldn't want to my mom and other family members to be worrying about food.

    I agree with PPs.  Not only will you be cooking, you'll have to rent all of the serving dishes and implements, keep the hot stuff hot and the cold stuff cold, set it up, clean it up, rent all of the plates, silverware and other such things that a caterer will normally provide.

    I'm sure you and your family would rather spend the day enjoying the wedding and not making sure the food is cooked and ready to go.
