Is there a game on today?

JK obviously. Well kinda, because I'm screwed up on what day it is anymore that I keep forgetting that it's actually Sunday.

Anyone doing anything fun for the game? I just plan on staying home and watching it. I can't wait for H to be home for the game finally next year and we can have a party here. I'm not that into either team playing (Sorry Stan) but I think it will be a good game. And the pros to watching it by myself is that I can actually hear and pay attention to the commercials.

Morning!! How have you been? H and I are going go a Bbq with our friend who just PCSed down here. It will be at H's coworker's. It'll be nice to finally start meeting people here that he works with! Oh and I'm actually making your buffalo wing dip to bring with us!

Don't you feel like you're back in WA with the rain lately? Lol

Aww yay for chicken wing dip! I actually thought last tnight that maybe i should make myself a small thing of it but I don't want to go shopping so that won't happen.

Glad to hear that you're finding new friends to hang out with too! Hopefully you like their wives/girlfriends too. It's always interesting to meet people that H works with because you never know what their spouse will be like. H's closest friend on the ship is engaged and I didn't meet his FI (then GF) until after they came back from deployment, but I love her. H is actually in their wedding in Cali next year too.

I'm doing pretty good here, just sick of unpacking already. My parents come next weekend and I can't wait for that. They will help me with the rest of the unpacking, and then my dad wants to have projects to do while here too. So we bought a new garage door opener and a new ceiling fan for him to put up, plus I'm sure he'll find a million more things to do. He insisted on driving this time so he can bring his tools with him!

So I totally had something to ask you beachy and for the life of me now I don't know what. H is sleeping in the living room right now. I kinda wanna go wake him up but I won't. I'm just awake and bored and there is an annoying dog barking non stop. We don't know what we are doing today. There is bar here having a party and the owners wife is from back home so they have good chicken wings. Our apartment complex is also having a party and that's free.

Beach: That is really cool that your dad wants to do a ton of things! It'll make life easier for you and your H! It will be nice meeting more people from his ship down here, I've only met a few. I like to know them and I was really good friends with a bit of them back in Japan. I did meet a couple of the wives during the holiday party and I wasn't sure if I liked them, they were basically drunk that night!

Hi beach, Kara, and geeg! I'm not that into the super bowl this year. I definitely don't want the pats to win though (sorry cal) so go giants! Geeg- tv in the bed room is the shiit. I have spent the last two nights in bed watching tv. I think H and I needed a little space. We were together 24 hours a day for over two weeks. We did go out to dinner last night, right along the water. The food wasn't great but the view was. Beach- any job prospects?

Hike, yeah we plan on buying one soon. My parents gave us gift cards to Best Buy for Christmas for that reason actually. I just haven't had a tv in the bedroom since high school, but today I want one. He's still sleeping (he's hungover), and I"m bored, and hungry. I'm going to make him go to Dunkin Donuts for me soon I think. He drank my wine so he can do that at least.

Hike to be honest I haven't even started looking yet. I've been focused on unpacking and getting the house set up, and now my parents coming. I need to find the box that has all my certification and portfolio though too since i know I'll need all the info to apply for ceritfication here. I also know that most schools won't hire for a few months still at least so it's keeping me from rushing. For now I'm working one day a week for my old job from home so that almost pays my car payment for me. H's pay is tax free right now and we some of the other deployments pays have kicked in too (hazard pay, family sep, etc), so it is definitely helping make up the difference for now.

G I couldn't not have tv in my bedrooom. I need it to fall asleep at night, and usually when H is gone I just leave it on all night. Before my stuff got here I would put a dvd in my laptop and let that play all night so I at least had something.

I need to find motivation to get up and start doing some more unpacking but I just don't have it right now. Yesterday I majorly cleaned the shelves in the built-ins in the master bath and the linen closet upstairs, plus under both bathroom sinks so that now I can just unpack everything in there. That will definitely be easier than unpacking the kitchen, but I'm still just lacking motivation.

Haha that was my plan for the kitchen, bedroom and living room. Now that those are set up to the point where I can comfortably use them I have been majorly slacking. I had all the bathroom stuff out that I have needed from my drive still so I haven't been in a rush for that.

Morning ladies! I made these Cinnamon Roll Muffins and they are orgasmic. Got my jalepeno dip and buffalo chicken bites ready for the oven. Need to make gauc and s'mores cookie bars sometime today. I've got my apartment all decorated up too. Go GMEN!

Glad to hear unpacking is going well! And yay for parents coming to visit! I miss mine, and I don't know if I'll get to see them before FI's graduation in May. Ah well, living with them for the summer will be more than enough time together!

Sasha, FI and I all have our jerseys ready to go! We're going over to a friend's house. To be honest, I'd rather stay home and avoid the interruptions of people who don't care about the game, but we don't have cable. So it's either a bar or a friend's house. I am doing most of the cooking, and I think I'm going to place it in the kitchen to keep people out of the TV room if they aren't into the game. Or at least not reaching across me to get more dip during some key play. I might turn into a bit of a biitch if people prevent me from watching the game!

As far as TVs go, FI wants one in the bedroom, but I never had one in the bedroom. My parents forbade it as kids. I think we need a good TV in the living room to start, and then eventually a smaller one in the bedroom. It would be nice to cuddle on the bed and watch TV rather than squeeze on the couch.

Sooo we bought a tv today haha. It was on sale at best buy, a good price, so we bought a 32 inch toshiba lcd for the bedroom.

Yay Geeg! That's what we have in our bedroom too. Except I couldn't find the base for it yet when unpacking and I'm not setting up our wall mount til H gets back. So I stole the TV from his man zone for the time being for our bedroom.

We don't have an HD receiver in the bedroom. I am going to see how much more it would cost to get it before I decide. Cable is already ridiculously expensive. I wish I could get Directv but once we move we won't be facing west anymore so we are stuck with a cable company that pretty much has monopoly.

We have Hargray. I'm hoping it will only be like an extra $5 a month or so. I have to call them anyway since I'm moving, (and change the name on the bill since its still my maiden name haha)
