Looking for a DJ for my wedding!!!

My wedding is about a year and a half out and I'm trying to get ideas on what DJs have to offer and what different prices are.  We're not looking for our wedding to turn in to a crazy nightclub, just some fun music and avoiding the stress of having to mess with an iPod on our special day.  Looking to spend no more than $700.  Anyone have any tips or referrals?  Thanks!

    I'm using Moondance Productions for my July wedding.  Thus far, they have been good to work with and the prices are affordable.

    I am using Moondance l for my wedding in June. I was just looking for someone to play music with minimal MCing.  We are paying 875 for 5hrs they had the most reasonable rates I could find. My brother used them for his wedding in 2010 and they were happy it was a fun party.

    I am also using Moondance for my wedding in June. I am doing the same thing...875 for 5 hrs.  I went to a wedding in 2011 and they were great!

     Thanks for the referal lyns1282 you were the reason I contacted moondance. I only found out later that my brother had used them

    I was a wedding planner for years and I always recommend DJ MaShane http://www.DJMaShane.com normally you can get a basic 5 hour package for $900.  The trick I always did for years was pay with cash or check instead of credit card and they normally knock off $50 since thats what they are going to pay in credit card fees.  Worth asking them but don't say i said anything.  I'm using them for my bff's wedding coming up and used them for my own wedding!  There basic package comes with everything include dance floor lighting, dj booth, wireless mics, and shane and Paul as the DJ's.  Paul is very quick at getting back to you and shane is very funny high engery interactive with guests.

    Moondance Review:
    Had  my wedding. Alan from moondance was our DJ. We really liked him.  He did our ceremony. It was perfect. We did not do much for introductions and did not want someone who was going to MC. He did just what we wanted. He also made us a wedding CD of songs from our wedding which I thought was a nice touch.
