Rehearsal Dinner-N Oak Cliff

I am getting married at Kessler Park Methodist and looking for a rehearsal dinner location in the Kessler Park/Bishop Arts/Stevens Park area of Dallas (North Oak Cliff). I gave my FMIL some suggestions: Hattie's, Eno's, Smoke, Tillman's, Bolsa, and La Calle Doce. I'm thinking some of these places might be too pricey for her and Gloria's doesn't take reservations on Fridays. I would appreciate any suggestions or ideas! Thanks!!!

Re: Rehearsal Dinner-N Oak Cliff

  • Herreras- I haven't been to the one in Oak Cliff but the one in uptown is wonderful!

Not sure what your price range is, but La Calle Doce is the best truly mexican in Dallas, and that location is a great atmosphere for a group. Plates are around $15-$20 so not sure if that's the price range you are looking for or not.

Lockhart Barbeque- Amazing and very different than the typical barbeque joint in town.

Veracruz is also very good with plates around $12, you get a good mix of chicken and beef for those wanting different things.

Oddfellows- great southern menu full of fried chicken, buffalo chicken mac and cheese, and duck...Most expensive entree is $14.

Can you tell I work as a concierge? lol

  • Thanks I actually love La Calle Doce but she told my FI it was a bit pricy. Frown I'm not sure if she talked to anyone yet about adjusting the menu. I just suggested Lockharts, Jonathans, and Inforzato's. Hopefully something will work out. Thanks!
  • Cafe Brazil is in Bishop Arts. Cafe Maya is on Jefferson, but not sure about the parking situation.
