Alterations: Chic & Elegance

Hello, I'm only able to find 1 review on this business. The owner is Mona and the address is 3311 Richmond Ave #331

Has anyone used her before?

She is charging $300 to alter my lace and beaded covered gown. She said it will take 2-3 alteration meetings. The price includes
  - hand checking and replacing all beading/lace/sequins as needed (it's used)
  - 2 free cleanings (1 for bridal photos and 1 for wedding day)
  - removing some tool
  - French bustle

Is this a reasonable price?

I have a great feeling about her but I need some reviews just to feel safe. I don't want to hand my dress over to just anyone Laughing

Thanks so much!

Oh and she is going to make the A-line dress streamline. That's why we are removing tool. Sorry that is a big factor in price.

I don't live in Houston so I am afraid I can't help with any recs there, but I know a lady in the DFW area that seriously would be worth the drive!  I used to work in a store that sold tons of prom/formal dresses and we sent all of our customers to her.  I also competed in a pageant and bought a trunk show dress that was ten sizes too big and she took it from a 10 to a 0 for $60.  This was a $4,000 gown, so trust me, I wouldn't just take it to anyone, but she does a lot of the area pageant girls gowns and is amazing and her prices are almost too good!  My gown had lots of details, beads/stones, and feathers and she doesn't try to charge you more because of the details like a lot of places will.  Anyways, if you are willing to make the trip, it's called Mom's Alterations and it's in Arlington off of Cooper St. Good Luck, I know how hard it is to find someone you can trust with such an important dress!
