Videographer & Seamstress recommendations needed

My wedding is in October, and we're still on the hunt for a videographer who won't break the bank. As well, my dress requires minimal alterations around the neckline, so I'm hoping to find someone who can alter it but not charge more than what I paid (got the dress for a steal at Filene's Running of the Brides).

I should note I called Estee in Gaithersburg and unfortunately she's super busy and can't have the dress in time :(

    If you don't mind a bit of a drive, you could try Sheryl Kelm for alterations. She is in Pasadena, MD (Anne Arundle county). Her work is great and her rates are amazing. She altered my friend's dress for her wedding in April 2011, and she is doing my dress for October 2011.  PM me if you would like her contact information.

    @amknight - I love both Angie and Estee but yeah they can get super busy and are not necessarily convenient to those of us who live a bit far.  As for videographers, try using weddingwire.com.  They have a huge listing there at all price points. I 



    Love is the ultimate superpower.   
    It can make you weak and strong simultaneously.

    I'm using Shaking Hands Productions and LOVED my experience during the booking process with Brad Bennett.  Their website is http://www.shakinghandspro.com/ and his email is shakinghandspro@gmail.com.  He has packages starting at $2k but may be willing to work with you.  He takes more of the movie/music video approach that is becoming popular now.  He was the most affordable for that style and quality in our area.  I also considered Thomas Bowen and Blue Sky Films.

    Try Kimly's Alterations and Dressmaking Service in NOVA

    Her telephone is 703-680-7442, she does quick turnarounds on alterations, is experienced (the most important factor) and is reasonable with pricing.  Also does weekend and evening appointments.

    Best of luck for you.  Sorry, cannot recommend video people to you.

    my photography team is Ashley McArthur Photography, which includes a videographer. It's a husband and wife team-they are great and their names are Ashley and Mcarthur. Tell them Nicole and Dellin referred you. They are super cool and extremely easy to work with. They are facebook

    Hello,

    My name is Tim Hudspeth.  Me and my fiance recently joined The Knot to prepare for our big day.  I am also a videographer and I am breaking into the wedding videography business.  I am in the Prince Georges County area right outside of DC.  I have filmed, directed, and edited over 15 videos, (short films, music videos, events, etc.)  Because I am breaking into the business, my prices are fairly low at 1000K but I am willing to work with any budget.  I dont want these prices to scare anyone away, however.  These are my prices because I am trying to build my wedding videography resume.  I will still produce 5000K work.  If you are interested, please email me at tim.hudspeth@yahoo.com and I can give you more information.
