When to meet and book florist

I want to get the right florist and want to have a lot of my major things booked by the end of this year.  We are getting married 9/15/12.  Do you think it's too soon to start meeting with florists to see what flowers are around in September and get my budget figured out?  Or should I wait a little longer?

I don't think so.  I think it's a great idea to see now what will be in season, for your wedding.  And if you book now, you should be locked into the pricing they have now, not what they have next year.  (If florists prices even change like that, I'm not sure)!

I'm getting married next month and booked our florist this time last year so I say go for it!

I say go for it too.  It took me awhile (several months) to meet with a couple people and make my final decision.  It is also nice to have perspective of what is in season as you are looking.  GL

We booked our florist about 13 months out, and it was great to get it done and out of the way! Almost all of our vendors have increased their prices, so I am so glad that I booked everyone early!
