Table decorations -ideas needed!- Maui Wedding

Hey all!

Could really use some ideas here... I dont know what to do for table decorations! I originally wanted flowers but they seem so expensive!!! I know some people have suggested making their own, but, we are flying a long way and I dont want to take up valuable weight allowance for vases. So any suggestions? We are having 1 long table with 10-16 on it.

I would love to hear all your fab ideas! My colours are hot pink and orange with touches of royal blue.

Thanks in advance!

  • I'm attaching the pic, but this is the idea we are doing for our reception. we're not having the long table but various tables and we've decided to go with this. I don't know if it would work for your reception but here's an idea or maybe some inspiration? Try to do candles if you want to avoid flowers.

My colors are dark blue/marine and the accent colors are going to be silver and white. the flowers i've chosen are white orchid, white lily and blue iris. the flowers in the pic just replace them with whatever flower you would like =)

  • Since you are in Hawaii you could go with a tropical fee and have pineapples going down the middle with candels in between so it kind of looks like a runner. And you could spinkle petals in your colors along them. You could pick up the pineapples in Hawaii and the candles there too or bring them in since you wouldn't need many so they wouldn't take up much space. And you and your guests would take them with them at the end of the night to enjoy for breakfast the next morning.

  • You can rent your vases on Maui. My coordinator is going to rent all the vases for me. But the rent fee is actually the same or even a little bit more expensive than buying new ones in mainland...
