Looking for an outdoor reception space near cleveland

HI!  We've always dreamed of an outdoor reception in late June or early July. I'm curious about anyone else's outdoor experience in Cleveland and any tips you would give.  Also, does anyone have suggestions for a fairly inexpensive outdoor space that would seat 150-200 people?

Re: Looking for an outdoor reception space near cleveland

  • The metro parks are reasonable and some packages include catering
  • The pavilion at Huntinton Beach (Bay Village) is pretty inexpensive to rent, but I'm not sure what you'd be able to get away with as far as catering goes.  Also, I think they only let you rent half of the pavilion, but if I had to guess, I'd say that would probably still seat over a hundred people if you needed it to.  The West Side Irish American Club (Olmsted Township) also has an outdoor pavilion area, but I think they are pretty expensive.  Here is a link to infomation on the reservable areas in the metroparks http://www.clemetparks.com/visit/reservedpicnic.asp

Mapleside in Brunswick does tented weddings on their grounds. Possibly Diamond Event Center in Brunswick, too>? They have a garden area, but I don't know if it's just for ceremonies.

St. Clarence in N. Olmsted's facility has retractable window walls, if you end up having to go with an indoor reception site.

If Lorain County would be ok, check out Puskas Outdoor Party Center.

    Good luck!
