Ok, I have a family party to go to on Saturday and I have decided to make the following things. The first thing I already know is really good, but the dessert is something I adapted from a couple of different recipes, so I would like input. Thanks!!!
1) Spinach, Goat cheese and Turkey Bacon mini quiches in hash brown baskets
2) Unnamed Dessert
1st layer - broken up pretzels with butter and sugar, press into bottom of glass baking pan, baked 8-10 minutes
2nd layer - melted Hershey dark chocolate chips spread over pretzels and hardened
3rd layer - cocoa cream cheese filling (similar to a cream cheese frosting but not as sweet, and not too much cocoa flavoring)
4th/5th layer - Kahluah chocolate ganache with a layer of crushed oreos pressed into the top
6th layer - freshly made whipped cream with chocolate shavings
What are your thoughts? Any suggestions as to what to name this bad larry?

Deal. I think Bristow is half-way from KY to Richmond?
I'm against calling anything a 'Cream Dream'. But my mind lives in the gutter.

Here you go :)
<h2>Ingredients</h2><ul><li class="ingredient">Cooking spray </li><li class="ingredient">5 strips cooked turkey bacon, chopped </li><li class="ingredient">1 tablespoon olive oil </li><li class="ingredient">1 small shallot, peeled </li><li class="ingredient">Kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper </li><li class="ingredient">2 cups baby spinach, chopped </li><li class="ingredient">Pinch freshly grated nutmeg </li><li class="ingredient">4 large eggs </li><li class="ingredient">4 large egg whites </li><li class="ingredient">1/4 cup milk </li><li class="ingredient">1/3 cup goat cheese (I just used the whole package) </li><li class="ingredient">1 package frozen hash browns, thawed </li><li class="ingredient">pinch garlic and onion powder, to taste </li><li class="ingredient">fresh grates Parmesan cheese (optional) </li></ul><p class="ingredient">1. Preheat the oven to 425 degrees F. Lightly coat 2 12-cup nonstick mini muffin pans with nonstick cooking spray. </p>
2. Mix the hash browns with the olive oil and 1 tsp salt, 1 tsp black pepper. Press by small hnadfuls into the muffin tin leaving wells in the center. Put them in the oven for 15-18 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown. Once they are out, reduce oven temp to 325.
3. In a medium skillet, add a drizzle of olive oil and warm - grate shallot into the oil. Add baby spinach and cook for 1-2 minutes, just until spinach is slightly wilted and shallot is giving off aroma. Set aside to cool.
4. Meanwhile, whisk the eggs, egg whites, milk, garlic and onion powder, and salt and pepper until well combined. Stir in the cheese (may need to beat if you want it well blended). Add the spinach and shallot mixture, and top with chopped bacon (I also like to grate a little fresh parmesan on top with the bacon). Pour the mixture evenly into your "baskets", not too full because they will puff a bit as they cook.
5. Bake until the quiches are well risen, golden brown and set, 15 to 20 minutes. Cool in the pan 5 minutes and then transfer to a wire rack. Serve warm or at room temperature with greens.
Let me know if anyone would be interested in more recipe posts, I LOVE cooking and I have a ton of re-worked recipes that I make <img src="http://cdn.cl9.vanillaforums.com/downloaded/ver1.0/content/scripts/tinymce/plugins/emotions/images/smiley-smile.gif" border="0" alt="Smile" title="Smile" /> Enjoy!
