Jon's Bridal

I currently live out of state, but I am originally from the central Florida area. I'm planning on coming to Florida the first weekend in September to go dress shopping! I was wondering if you all can tell me about your experiences at Jon's Bridal and what designers they carry. Any info you all can share would be appreciated. Thanks!

I couldn't tell you what designer they carry because I really didn't pay much attention to it. But I went there for my second dress (I changed my mind on the first) on a random Tuesday evening after work and I was in and out probably within 30-40 minutes. The girl picked like 3-4 dresses based on what I told her and I tried them all on and found "the one" and I kept it on for like 10 minutes because I didn't want to take it off.

My experience was good, I wish they could have lowered the price a bit but I think the girl knew how excited I was and knew I would be willing to go over my budget so they didn't negotiate (my fault).

I had a similar experience- I had the first appointment on a Saturday morning, and picked out about 15 dresses after going through the racks in my size. It was the first dress.

Their designers are all over the place- and they have a lot of dresses from designers that I have never heard of. It's a great place to try on a bunch of different dresses, and in your correct size.

    Good luck!

I loved my experience at Jon's Bridal Gigi my consultant was awesome. First thing I did was show her the dress style I thought I wanted. I say thought because after trying a couple of dresses on I realized the dress style I wanted was not flattering at all. We walked around the store together she would pull out a dress and I would say yay or nay. Then right before we walked into the dressing room she said I’ll be right back and came back with two dresses. The two dresses I almost couldn’t decide between. I tried on about 15 dresses all different, all beautiful, all within my budget.
    Hope this helps.

I loved Jon's Bridal. I also worked with Gigi, who is amazing.. I had such a great experience. I walked around and selected dresses to try one.. The second dress I put on was it. I walked around in it for an hour. I was in love! LoL..

I say you should definately give them a try! It would be well worth your time.

I agree with all previous posts. I only went there based on multiple recommendations from ladies I work with. It's not in the best part of town, so I was skeptical. But once you walk in, the warm smiles and friendly atmosphere are very welcoming. I had a modest budget but didn't feel it limited my choices! I also appreciated being able to try on the dress in my exact size and walk out with it that day.
Definitely make the time to go there!

I had a similar experience as Amber. They have a ton of dresses, but when I found "the one" I knew it and they knew that my mom and I would be willing to pay whatever, so there was no bargaining power. They treated me like a princess the day of, but after they got my money the woman who answered the phone on several occassions was not very pleasant. I was told that I was "NOT ALLOWED UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES" to come and try my dress on on a Saturday because Saturdays are reserved for new appointments only. So, I was forced to take time off work to come and try on my dress. Wish I was told that from the beginning.

I loved my experience at Jon's Bridal. I took in a lot of pictures and tried on most of the dresses "I thought" I wanted. You just NEVER KNOW until you try on a wedding gown in your own size. Thats the best part about Jons, huge amount of drress all from different designers and most importantly all in your own size. A friend at work ended up buying two wedding gowns because when her first ordered dress came in and she finally tried it on in her own size she hated it. The prices are good there and the service is also good.

One thing about Jon's Bridal that a PP mentioned and I just want to reinforce it. There are associated with the inhouse alterations and are required to offer it but I have heard nothing but horror stories about them, so use someone else.

I thought you couldn't take pictures at Jons...in fact the ladies that help you actually come in the dressing room so you can't sneak the photo.

I took in a lot of pictures, ie I took in a lot of pictures of wedding gowns that I printed off my computer and they seemed to have most of the dresses regardless of the designer. My dress is a Robin Jillian and they did not allow pictures until I made the decision to buy it but that policy is on the designer's website.
