Job Interview AND the last 3 days of wedding prepping!

Okay, this is multi-tasking to an extreme, like I just wrote on FB. We're in the final stages of wedding prep (for Saturday!!!!!!) and I just got an email for a job interview. At first, the principal requested the interview for Monday, but obviously I'm on my HM next week ... so I wrote back and requested for any time this week and said that I would be "eternally grateful" and he said okay, how about Thursday! He replied RIGHT AWAY! The first time I've had that with a principal. I think he must really want me at that school!! :-)

Anyway ...

I have finished the seating chart board, we're in the middle of doing the fudge favor packets (with the favor tags etc tied to them), and we are halfway through with putting the ribbons on the ceremony programs. I also finished the table numbers and the menu and direction cards. We're planning to finish the favors and the programs tomorrow.

Thursday is gonna be crazy - Job interview almost 1 hr away from current residence (but about 20 mins from FI's apartment) at 1pm, then manicure and pedicure at the spa at 3:30, and we are having some kind of big family dinner that night!

Is this CRAZY or what!!!

How wonderful!! Good luck with your interview, you will get the job if that's what God plans, so just relax through that part. Keep looking forward to going to the spa and spending time with loved ones that evening.

Okay I'm SO excited about this job interview. If I get it, the school only has 200 or so students, it's an elementary music job (not my first choice of teaching content, but love it), it's got a MUCH better reputation, and it's in the next county over from where I am - same county as FI's apartment. We could even move a little closer to the school and he would be closer to work, and I'd have a decent job with smaller class sizes and well ... smaller students!!!

Before I gush too much, I don't know how much competition I'll have for the job, but the principal seemed VERY excited that he had someone who actually wants to move up that way. It's in the northern extreme of North Carolina, not really near "much" as far as the big city of Raleigh, but still within EASY driving distance of all of the shopping I love SO much! So ... Hmm.

Last week another young lady at the church got married and she got a call for a teaching job offer on Wednesday (Saturday wedding) for the school she wanted. Somehow part of me is hoping that I get a similar type of circumstance, that one of the two elementary schools gives me a job offer ... but we'll see!

Oh, and I've taken three interviews so far, two of them have said no, but I'm waiting on the last one - an elementary - seemed promising, and they haven't said no yet- the principal PROMISED that she would not leave anyone hanging, she'd let us know one way or the other as soon as HR confirmed that the candidate was eligible for the job. So I think at this point it COULD be that HR is verifying whomever she wants to hire, she said it might take up to two weeks because HR moves slow during the first two weeks of July.

Rambling on ... going to make dinner now .... AGGGGGH so much to do still .... but we have a plan, and on Friday, we will have already finished everything, so we can just take it EASY!!! :-)
