Ceremony/ reception ideas in Charlotte??

I have been researching locations for the ceremony and reception and havent found anything that Im super excited about. We are having about 140 people about 1/3 are out of towners. I want a very nice wedding but as cheap as possible. I would rather my funds go to my new home and honeymoon. If anyone has any thoughts and estimated cost of locations that would be GREAT! Thanks!

    I'm not sure about having a ceremony there but Piper Glen CC has a $750 rental fee (basically for set-up and servers) and then the food (which is outstanding) ranges between $30-50 per person for a seated buffet.  Also I would refer you to Jack Keffer at Residence Inn/Spring Hill Suites (Stonecrest/Ballantyne) for accomodations...I think it's around $100/night.

    However, I have heard that some brides like Freedom Park (absolutely beautiful) and depending on the caterer you choose it could be lower than the prices mentioned above.  There's also another Charlotte park that has a "club house" and an outdoor ceremony site.

    I am using Pine Lake Country Club in Mint Hill.  It is $500 deposit, which goes towards your food.  The wedding director there is very helpful and knows what he is doing.  I would check it out!
