Gift Opening invite

Is there a good way to word an invite for the gift opening? We are sending informal rehearsal dinner invites (email) and wanted to put the info about the gift opening on the bottom. Is that okay, or do we need to send out seperate notes?

I would go with word of mouth for this.  Adding it to the RD invite makes it more formal (even with very informal invites) and your invitees may feel obligated to attend.  Many times when I've been in a WP I've had enough festivities by the time the wedding is over and just want my Sunday to myself, but if I were formally invited to another wedding event on Sunday I'd suck it up and go.
  • I wouldnt do formal invites, and I wouldnt even extend invites to everyone who was at the wedding. Invite your moms over, let them mention it to reletives they think might be interested in dropping by, but dont make a big party/show of it. Seems kinda show-off-ish to me to invite people to watch me open presents from an event that is over. But thats just my opinion.
