That's disappointing. My F&B minimum is $4000 for the Cafe les Halles private room for an evening reception. Are you using a different space? When I booked with them the minimums were the same everyday of the week and are only less for brunch/lunch parties. I'd try talking to them again if I were you, but maybe their minimums changed though...

i asked for smaller room and what more they could do. that was the smallest. they said we can put you with others and you dont need private room. (main dining) wont work for about 30 pple

Sadly I would have to say that's about average for a lot of places in Vegas. Especially on a Friday or Saturday. Have you tried Firefly? I hear that's one of the cheaper venues.

!!! It BLOWS my mind how much these places ask for F&B minimums! Makes me kind of angry because then it's near impossible for an average joe and jane to have something that would be really cool. I checked out a stinkin' DELI location at the Venetian or Paris, one of those two, and they wanted something like 3 or 4 G's for their F&B min. I could't believe it. Sorry you got hit with such a high number

It's for that reason my FI and I figured it would just be cheaper to rent a suite and sneak food in, lol! Hopefully you'll find something else that won't rob your bank account and will be just as nice.

yep we are still looking. an insuite be great if having a bunch pple but i dont wanna rent such big space for lil pple

Hmm that is odd - I just emailed with someone in August and got quoted min for F&B $2k, and that was for the smallest room up to 24 ppl... so up to 30 ppl is $5k???

Café Halle can accommodate up to 50 guests for dinner. This space features
dramatic 30-foot high glass walls with a view of the base of the Eiffel
Tower. Oversized chandeliers, plush red velvet curtains and richly stained
mahogany give the room a feeling of grandeur. This area is separated from
our Main Dining Room, with a $5,000 food and beverage minimum, prior to tax
and gratuity. As long as the minimum is spent in food & beverage, there is
no charge for the room. If the minimum is not met, the remaining balance
would be charged as a room rental. A $2500 deposit would be required to
reserve the room, which would apply towards your final payment.

When I booked with them, they offered the full private dining area for $5000, but it can be split into 3 smaller rooms, each with lower minimums. I would talk to them again.

A lot of the restaurants I've noticed have a F&B minimum of about $4,000+. Feeding people is expensive lol. xD

I am using the smallest private room at MAG, it holds up to 24 people and hte F&B minimum is only 1500
