  I use Kayak.com and set up Price Alerts when I know I need to fly somewhere. I get them daily and it helps me notice when prices are going up or down.

  I use Kayak and Airfarewatchdog for specific alerts.  They get emailed to me whenever there are fares I'm checking out (OFTEN!).

  I use Kayak as well and do the same thing as Tiger. FI uses travelzoo and really likes it.

  So how do they work? Can you get notified after the fare in a certain time frame drops to below a certain price range?
