Nevada-Las Vegas

A question for Vegas locals!!

Okay so we are having our reception at a private home we are renting for the week so we have to bring everything in as far as catering, dishes etc....now Masterpiece is going to bring all of the stuff for food but I need help with the glasses.

I had hoped to go to IKEA and buy all the wine and champagne glasses because they sell them for $4.99 for a pack of 6 (we need 60) and this would save us renting from MC and we wouldn't have to worry if any of them broke but GASP!!!! Vegas doesn't have an IKEA!!??!!

At the moment we are planning on buying disposable plastic cups from smartyhadaparty.com for other drinks but do you ladies know of any stores in Vegas that would sell champagne and wine glasses at prices comparable to IKEA??

Thanks for your help!!

Have you thought about buying them online, then either have them shipped to you or perhaps delivered to the place you will be renting out for a week?

I think I might have just found a solution!!

I found some glasses on the dollar tree website and if you buy them by the case then they will ship them to a local store for free!!! So at $1 each for 60 with tax it was around $65! Bargain!! I read a few of the reviews and they said they were pretty strong......they will probably end up being better than IKEA because theirs are not the best but we are just going to end up leaving them so originally I didn't care.

There seem to be a ton of dollar tree stores in Vegas so if anyone is looking for candle holders, vases, and general party stuff if you buy enough and order ahead you can just pick it up at the store, woohoo! I love when I find what i'm looking for.

shouldn't you be ordering more than 1 glass per person?  how many guests are you hosting?

@ Queen- yes we are d efinitely going to have other cups available but we are having a buffet dinner and I plan on having the wine on the table and I wanted real wine glasses as part of the table setting. I don't think everyone will drink wine but there will also be water jugs on the table as well.

We will also have disposable plastic in various sizes and shapes up at the bar.

I'm doing smartyhadaparty.  The only idea I can think of for actual glasses is Resco - restaurant supply store.  They will be very basic/plain, but shouldn't be expensive.

You could also try renting glasses from a party rental place.
