Reception Locations

I posted last week about outdoor ceremony location, and I think we found one! But now I need to find a location for the reception. The ceremony is going to be in the Elk River area. We'd like for the reception to be somewhat close to that. We don't need anything fancy though. We have family friends that are catering and making the food, so we don't need that. We literally just need a space to set up tables and chairs for dinner and room to dance afterwords. We don't want to spend alot of money on the location though. Any thoughts or ideas?

Elk River is actually my hometown so I've got lots of advice for you!

Also, there is a photographer based out of Elk River that I graudated with. She was on the best of the knot list for 2010.

I should be able to help with this since Elk River is my hometown. Are you looking for indoor or outdoor? How many guests?

Here are two options for you.

Lions Park Center is indoor, but I can't seem to find any pictures of it...

Orono Park is on the lake and has picnic shelters that hold 100+.

Thank you! I'm actually going to look at both of those places for the ceremony because we want an outdoor ceremony. But for the reception we want to make sure that there's plenty of room for dancing and where we can set up tables and chairs for dinner. Guests will probably be around 100-150

My friends had their reception in Plymouth at I think it was the Best Western (it's attached to the Green Mill). Might be a little out of the way but it was pretty nice. There's a nice outdoor area for people to hang out too (not sure if you could have a reception out there?). It's right off 494 and 55. Only thing I can think of right now!
