Jessica Leigh Photography Question

Hi ladies, I've seen a few mentions of girls who have used Jessica Leigh as their photographer. She is #1 so far on our list, I love all the photos on her website. However, I was wondering if any of you had used her personally and had pictures you would be willing to share. I would love to see some more of her work prior to booking. Thanks in advance!!

she shot my SIL's wedding too. she is good, but she isn't very personable. i guess there was conflict between her and SIL's caterer? also, she had met me three times before and still didn't know who i was when i said hi to her when she showed up for SIL's wedding. if you want good pics but don't expect much direction or feedback, book her. she does good work!

I have a friend who was using Jessica as a photog, but ended up going a different route. My friend had issues with lack of communication from Jessica's end. Just reiterating what SarahSmile said, Jessica seems to take good photos, but is not very amiable..GL!

And I had no problem with her personality or communication, so I guess it just depends!

We loved Jessica before we booked her(her work really spoke for itself).
Once we booked her we loved her even more!
She did our e-pics almost a year to the day before our wedding and we loved them. We used email as our main form of communication and, like most vendors, we heard back from her in a reasonable time frame.
I never had any problem with Jessica, I didn't hear anything negative from guests or any vendors, and my best friend just booked her for her March 2011 wedding because she lvoed our photos so much.
Just my 2 cents but I would book Jessica again in a hearbeat without even second guessing my decision...even if the cost was higher.
To each their own though. You really have to make the decision once you talk with her, meet with her, and see her work.
Like any vendor, there will be someone who didn't have a "perfect" experience and has something to complain about. That is normal.

From meetings with Jessica she is really nice, got back to me relatively quickly and had great pics. She is very laid back. When I met with her I told her the date would be the 10 or the 17th depending on which place I chose but most likely the 10th. She said either date was fine just get back to her. I got back to her and we were ready to sign a contract with her and everything until my DOC told my mom that one of her other clients (she has a few coordinators that work with her) had Jessica booked for the 10th. I guess Jessica just wrote down the wrong stuff or heard me wrong or whatever and just forgot to tell me. I took it as a sign that I was supposed to work with Marlyn (she is more my personality). I am very on top of things and anal and Jessica's laid back-ness may have been a problem with me, so I feel like it worked out like it was supposed to. I had the hardest time deciding between the two in the first place because I love both of their work.
Jessica is laid back but her work really is beautiful and she is a great vendor. As with all vendors, your personality needs to mesh well together for you to be completely satisfied.

I totally agree with Sarah that she is not a very personable person.  Also, the whole email thing, I would email her, and sometimes hear back within a day, and then nothing for weeks with other emails.

I had originally booked her, but after a lot of headache, cancelled her because of numerous issues.  (Way too much to go in to).

But to each his own.  She does take good pictures, which is what had originally drawn me to her.

    Good luck!

I've known Jessica for years and used her to take portraits for my then boyfriend's grandparents. When we got engaged, the first thing I decided was that I wanted Jessica to shoot my wedding. I've never had a communication problem, her work is outstanding, and her prices are amazing.  She is also willing to work with you on a custom package. We didnt need the engagement shoot because we have the portraits, so she is applying a credit towards an upgraded book.

I cant say enough wonderful things!
