NWR: Weekend Getaway

Hey Everybody,

My husband and I are looking for a cozy weekend getaway... up to a 4 hours drive from NJ.  We aren't skiers so I'm thinking more along the lines of a destination with wine tastings and good restaurants.  Has anyone been anywhere like this that they can rec?

    I have been to Mirbeau Inn and Spa in Skaneateles, NY.  I loved it! They have an awesome spa and many wineries to go to in the area.

    Newport is great.  Also, one year we went to Cape May over President's Weekend.  For that one weekend only, many of the restaurants and shops open up.  There was a wine tasting as well that weekend that was a lot of fun.

    Thanks, ladies!  I think we are going to do Newport, RI this summer and I found some great bed and breakfasts in North Fork on Long Island.  Has anyone been there??

    St. Michael's in Maryland.  Stay at the Inn at Perry Cabin (fun fact- Wedding Crashers was shot there).  

    Mohonk Mountain is supposed to be really nice.

    If you want to stay in NJ, check out the Grand Cascades lodge at Mountain Creek.
