Looking for recommendations on bridal boutiques in Northern Virginia

I live in Northern Virginia and am completely at a loss for where to start  my search for the perfect dress.  I was wondering if anyone had suggestions or recommedations on where to start.  All tips are welcome and would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks!

DO NOT go to Catherine's on Duke Street. Horrible experience.

I loved I Do I Do in Gaithersburg. No pressure whatsoever.

i really liked "maria's bridal" in fairfax - her sales people are fantastic.

another good place is "white swan bridal" in vienna. there is a huge variety of dresses. the owner is a little abrasive (my friends and i affectionately refer to her as "natasha" because she's russian) but she really knows her dresses.

i ended up buying from "chevy chase bridal" in DC - it's off wisconsin avenue, about ten minutes off river road. i highly recommend them - the owner got a little sales-ish with me when she knew i was cracking, but as soon as i told her i had to think, she immediately backed off and was still very very sweet and nice to me. it's a beautiful, newer boutique and i had a really good experience.

We loved La Bella Bridal in Occoquan--even though we actually live in Bethesda.  The owner, Ellalyne, has a wonderful eye for things that will look good on you--even though you might not pick them out just looking at them on the rack.  Both of us got our dresses there.

I got mine at Maria's bridal in Fairfax, they were awesome and were able to get my dress in on rush order 1 month early, and their prices are reasonable.

Went to Bridal Images in Rockville, MD and received excellent service there, they have a selection that is the largest in the area.  Good sized dressing rooms too.  Highly Recommend them.

I went to Rosalin's Bridal Boutique in Falls Church. It's  a small store but they have a wide selection. The people were great, very knowledgeable about their dresses and very helpful. I hihly recommend them.

I tried White Swan in Vienna. They weren't very nice to me perhaps because I was only looking for a veil:). They have a great selection too and all their dresses are on mannequins.

I also liked I Do I Do in Gaithersburg for relatively low-priced dresses. I think there are recommendations above for lower priced stores in NOVA as well.

I got mine from Rosalin Bridal in Falls Church as well. They were fantastic and reasonably priced. I would not recommend White Swan in Vienna. They were increibley pushy. The salesperson kept insisting that this dress I hated was "my dress." We left and did not return.

I got mine at Hitched in DC and had a fabulous experience. I actually had a decent experience at Katherine's on Duke St-- they were very nice, even though I ended up not buying there.

I didn't like Hennelores-- lots of pressure to buy right then and there.

But, worst experience EVER--- I'd absolutely stay away from is Ellie's in Alexandria. I called and made an appointment. The girl was super breezy on the phone, and said to come by at 4pm (the time I asked for). I got there, and there is one lady in the store. There is a giant group trying on dresses (well the bride was, and she brought like 8 ppl with her). There were ppl coming in for alterations, and other ppl just looking. I stood there for 15 minutes waiting for the consultant to quit chatting with the bride with the huge group (she wasn't helping her, just chatting).

Then, the consultant said to me she couldn't help me, even though I had an appointment...that the other consultant who was supposed to be there just didn't show. She said I was welcome to look on my own but she couldn't help me at all. I started looking around, bc I figured I knew what I was looking for, but when I got in the dressing room I realized, duh, I need help! In the meantime, the other bride with the group of 8 is still wearing the same dress and getting opinions from all her friends and the consultant. I'm sorry, the consultant can't leave her there staring at the mirror for 5 minutes to zip me into a dress? I was alone, and super low maintenance. I ended up leaving. As I left, she asked if I wanted to make another appoinment (I basically said, look there's no way I can get into and out of these dresses alone, so forget it). Was she kidding????

If you have not gotten your bridal gown yet...check a new bridal boutique that just opened in North Potomac.  You have to see who the owner is  ....   she appeared on the Apprentice.     Website:   lovelcouturebridal.com

This is right off of the 270 and the Beltway.
