Today I had surgery to remove a few lymph nodes. It was done successfully and I'm now home after being at Beaumont for over 6 hours. The surgery was short itself, but I am allergic to all the major pain meds including Morphine and Codeine. So, they were having a hard time controlling my pain. They also had to poke me 8 times to try to get my IV started. I had an issue waking up after the surgery. I've had 9 surgeries in the past 10 years, so the more and more I get sedated, the harder for me it is. I wasn't suppose to get tubed with this procedure, just a "sedation", but they decided for my safety they should tube me and put me out completely.
Now, I'm at home relaxing (or trying to the best I can with 3 kids lol) and in LOADS of pain under my arm. But, good news is they think it was a cyst growing on my node and not cancerous, but to make sure, they're doing a biopsy. *sigh* I'm glad this is over with, for now lol.
